How does it work?
Our device features a one-way valve that does not allow any air to enter a choking victim on the downward motion. When push down while using, it compresses the air inside the mask and forces air out around the edges of the mask. This helps to position the device and create a good seal. When pulls up on the plunger rapidly, it creates a strong suction, which pulls air from the person's airway. The suction generated by pulling up on the plunger creates a vacuum effect, which helps dislodge and remove the obstruction from the airway.
Is this device suitable for self-administration?
Our device is also designed for self-use, suitable for all individuals, including the elderly or those living alone. However, choking emergencies can be stressful and using the device effectively requires proper positioning. Thus, it's still crucial to be familiar with the device and practice using it beforehand.
